Group photo project
1958 Methodist Concert Party
This month’s photograph was contributed to our archive by John Lofthouse, who
has previously submitted it to the “History Pages” section of the Craven Herald.
It shows a group of young performers at a concert organised by Farnhill Methodist
Church in 1958.
John was able to put names to quite a few of the people shown, and our team of
“identifiers” have done a good job on the rest – leaving us with just one

About the “Group photographs project”
A number of group photographs have been contributed to our archive with very
little information attached to them. The aim of this project is to capture as much
detail as we can from those who might remember the events and people shown.
For this photograph, our team of “identifiers” included: John Lofthouse, Jill
Ideson, Rosemary Hargreaves, Margaret Steptoe, Christine Whiteoak, Enga
Preston and Helen Moran.
